A pedestrian was taken to an area hospital after being hit by a Palm Beach County deputy's vehicle Friday morning, said investigators.
The crash happened on Military Trail near the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard at about 5:30 a.m., said sheriff’s spokeswoman Teri Barbera.
The pedestrian walked into the road, said Barbera, and is expected to survive their injuries.
The person who was hit has not been identified. It's unclear what prompted them to walk into traffic.
