Police said a 48-year-old man riding a bicycle was struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday morning in Riviera Beach.
The incident occurred Blue Heron Boulevard and Broadway Avenue at 5:53 a.m.
Police spokeswoman Rose Anne Brown said it is believed that the man was hit by a dark-colored Mazda that continued northbound after the impact.
The bicyclist was transported to a nearby hospital by Riviera Beach Fire Rescue with possibly life-threatening injuries. Brown said the man's condition is currently listed as stable.
Around 7:55 a.m., all lanes of traffic were back open after the intersection was closed.
