RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. -- A man known for his fight for civil rights and being the first African-American judge in Palm Beach County was remembered on Saturday in Riviera Beach.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the Judge Edward Rodgers Center on West 11th Street was held Saturday morning.
The center will be utilized for community development.
Judge Rodgers was well-respected in the community.
He died in October at the age of 91.
