A one vehicle crash shut down part of Blue Heron Boulevard in Riviera Beach Sunday morning.
Police say around 2:30 a.m. the driver of a dark-colored GMC truck struck a light pole between Avenue H and Avenue F.
The impact caused the boat the truck was pulling to lodge itself over the roof.
A man living nearby says he was woken up by the crash.
“I was inside the house when I heard a set of rumbling," Noel Lewis said. "It was kind of scary because a lot of people do walk up and down these sidewalks.”
The driver and passenger of the vehicle walked away without injuries. Police say the driver fell asleep at the wheel and was charged with reckless driving.
