RIVIERA BEACH, Fla.-- It was an emotional Wednesday morning in Riviera Beach.
There were lots of happy tears after the Hearts of Palm ministry gave a newly-renovated home to a family who was homeless.
It’s been 13 months in the making and finally a Palm Beach County mother and her family have a home.
The Lord's Place and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and School partnered to purchase and renovate the residence.
“We want a family to have a home. Everybody deserves a home that they can call their sanctuary and we want to provide that for a family," said Hearts of Palm director Karen Cook.
The family moves in October 1. They can live there long enough to get them back on their feet and the best part is for the rent they just pay what they can afford.
