RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. -- The Grand Celebration cruise ship currently docked at the Port of Palm Beach is heading to Freeport in its second humanitarian cruise since Hurricane Dorian flattened the Bahamas.

The first cruise took 225,000 pounds of supplies along with thousands of first responders and volunteers. The ship is planning to make a similar trip again hoping to continue its efforts in helping the Bahamas rebuild after Dorian.

Tropical Storm Humberto did delay the second mission by a couple days, however it’s on track to leave Sunday night from Riviera Beach to head to Freeport.

During the first trip the ship brought back 1,100 Bahamians with proper documentation.

The cruise line said it plans to do the same thing this time around.
