Riviera Beach police said a 22 year-old woman was killed late Monday night in a shooting that injured five other people.

According to a news release from police spokeswoman Rose Anne Brown, there were reports of shots fired in the 2100 block of West 28th St. at about 10:19 p.m.

Brown said six people were standing in a yard at that location when a man began shooting at them from several yards east of where they were standing.

All six people were hit by gunfire. A woman, Norriesha L. Hills, died at the scene and five men were transported to the hospital for treatment. Police identified the shooting victims as Decobe Williams, Pierre Charles, Reginald Minor, Jamal Forrest, and Deandre Witherspoon.

Brown said two of the men were reported to have possibly life-threatening injuries. Injuries to the other three men do not appear to be life-threatening.  All of the victims are in their 20s.

Police said they believe this was a targeted attack, and the investigation is ongoing.
