RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — Law enforcement is investigating an overnight pursuit on Interstate 95 in Palm Beach County that ended with two people in custody.
Boynton Beach Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said the incident started in Riviera Beach and moved through the central part of the county to Boynton Beach.
Slater said the incident first started in Riviera Beach. The vehicle, a red Toyota Tacoma, was later spotted in Boynton Beach by one of their K-9 officers. Boynton Beach police then pursued the vehicle back to Riviera Beach.
Just after 4 a.m. Thursday, WPTV spotted a crashed red truck with three flat tires at the intersection of Congress Avenue and W 12th Street. At the scene were multiple police vehicles. An ambulance was also seen leaving the scene.
Two occupants bailed out of the truck, and both are now in custody, according to Slater.
It's unclear what prompted the chase.
