Residents at Riviera Beach Apartment complex demand better living conditions

Posted

Residents at a Riviera Beach apartment complex say their fed up with the deplorable living conditions at the Stonybrook Apartments.

The Mayor's response team organized a protest at the apartments to send a message for better living conditions.

City leaders claim the owners of the property, Global Ministries Foundation are the ones to blame for the conditions. Many residents say they don't have air conditioning, there are roaches in the units, and the kids playground is in bad shape.

Cece Christophe plans to move out soon, but hopes this rally changes things.

"Don't forget about us you know. We're human too and it's like we speak up and we're not heard so hopefully something good comes about this," says Christophe.

Senator Marco Rubio toured the apartments last month after he launched a federal investigation into Global Ministries Foundation.
