A Riviera Beach family is making the best of socially distancing from neighbors.
Though the kids are getting cooled off by their self-made water park, they're also getting a food delivery.
Families are thankful for the food during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Riviera Beach Police Chief Nathan Osgood said his department is partnering with area businesses such as Johnny Longboats restaurant to feed families in need.
"One is community involvement we care, they care and it's another way to let the community know and the youth know and while school is out, they want to make sure are you doing your assignments, is there anything you want to talk to us about," he said.
Chief Osgood says the officers handed out about 100 meals and they've been doing this for several weeks.
"They are checking on our elderly community, our senior citizens and saying hello to them. And making sure do you need anything. They gave out care baskets last week just to say hello to them. You see the community coming together to say we want to help, how can we help."
