The Palm Beach County School District said Tuesday there is a group of students from Suncoast High School who are traveling abroad in Europe.
District officials said the trip is not sponsored by the school.
A parent said about 19 students were on a European war history trip not associated with the district.
One parent told WPTV that he received a text message from his son's teacher at 4 a.m. Tuesday that said the children were safe.

The students were outside of Brussels and believed to be still in Belgium when the terror attack occurred earlier in the day.
"There's no way to express it. You just worry about it. When you know that it’s around in that area … when we saw the text from the teacher saying, ‘We are safe, don’t worry. We know all these things are happening,’ but still you want to communicate (and) talk to them and see, know how they are feeling, where they are, are they OK? What’s going on in their mind? You just worry about it," said Sangita Mehta, a mother whose child is on the trip.
The students were scheduled to travel to Luxembourg next and then a few other countries in Europe, according to a parent.
They are scheduled to come home Saturday night.
