A 17-year-old boy appeared in court Wednesday in connection with a shooting Tuesday in which a 14-year-old boy was shot.
Prosecutors say the older teen shot the boy once in the abdomen and once in the foot.
The victim has life-threatening injuries.
The shooting happened at 2925 Avenue J.
The state has 21 days to charge the 17-year-old as an adult.
