Family and friends gathered Thursday on West 36th Street to remember Kevin Humphrey last week.
The 27-year-old was gunned down by a loner shooter July 17.
"I need all the help I can get for his girlfriend Krystal and mainly my grandkids. I want my son back. This is hard. He didn't deserve this. It doesn't make sense," Humphrey's mother said.
Police are still investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made.
