ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said a child riding a bicycle was hit by a vehicle Thursday morning in Royal Palm Beach.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Capt. Albert Borroto said an 11-year-old boy was struck at the intersection of Oleander Drive and Royal Palm Beach Boulevard at 7:22 a.m.
PBSO spokeswoman Teri Barbera said the boy was riding bike against traffic, pulled in front of a car and the vehicle clipped the child.
The child was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
PBSO said the driver will not be charged.
This is the second child hit by a vehicle this week in Palm Beach County. A 14-year-old student from Dwyer High School was hit by a vehicle in Riviera Beach on Wednesday morning.
