The first annual 'Angels Four Autism' Softball Tournament kicked off Saturday in Royal Palm Beach.
47 softball teams from across the southeast participated in the tournament at Seminole Palms Park.
The event came about by one local softball player from the Delray Blue Angels, whose little brother was diagnosed with Autism. The tournament hoped to bring more attention and awareness about autism to the community.
"It's all about awareness and how it affects the people closest to them right down the street, and their schools, and their community," said Andrew Green, parent.
The month of April is recognized nationally as Autism Awareness Month.
