Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is investigating an overnight house fire in Royal Palm Beach.

The fire marshal was at the home, located at 124 Saratoga Blvd. West, trying to figure out the cause.

The fire was reported after midnight Wednesday.

Fire Rescue Capt. Albert Borroto said crews arrived at 12:30 a.m. and found smoke coming from the home.

Visible damage could be seen on the side of the house.

A woman who lives next door said she woke up after there were concerns the fire would spread to her house. She said another neighbor woke the family up to let them know their house was on fire.

Borroto said in a written statement at 7:32 a.m. that the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

However, neighbors said an air conditioning compressor could be a possible cause.
