PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. -- An educator who specializes in mathematics is the teacher of the year in Palm Beach County.
Palm Beach County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Donald Fennoy made the announcement by surprising Daniella Boyd in her classroom.
She is a math teacher at Royal Palm Beach High School.
The event was streamed on the district's Facebook page.
Boyd's new seven-week-old child, husband, parents and grandmother were also on hand to congratulate her.
