A large water main break occurred overnight in a Royal Palm Beach neighborhood, sending water gushing from a residence's yard into the road.
The break happened sometime around midnight to 1 a.m. Tuesday in the 240 block of Sandpiper Ave. near Heron Parkway.

Crews said the damaged pipe had a large split, forcing them to replace it rather than just make repairs.
Workers had to dig about 6 feet down to reach the buried pipe.
By 9 a.m., crews had replaced the pipe and turned the water service back on to the affected homes.
A precautionary boil water notice was put in place for numeric addresses from 181 to 242 on Sandpiper Avenue.
Residents can call 561-740-4600 and "Press 2" for the most current boil water notices. The water utility will also be contacting residents if they are impacted by the boil water notice. Some area homes are without water Tuesday morning.
The cause of the break is unclear.
