There's another Spring Training housing crunch!
Realtors say if you're interested in renting out your home, now is the time to look into it.
The baseball season just ended, but Megan Weisman in Jupiter is already looking towards February.
"Exciting to have a ballplayer."
Earlier this year she rented her apartment out to a ballplayer and is looking to do it again in 2017.
"Right now is a good time. Spring Training is coming up and if you're considering doing this there's definitely a market for it," says Weisman.
Realtor Holly Meyer Lucas specializes in finding rentals for players and fans during Spring Training. She says many are starting to look this Thanksgiving weekend.
However there is a small problem especially with two new teams, the Nationals and Astros, coming to town.
"Each team brings 400 guys between the minor leagues, all levels, the big leagues," says Lucas.
She says demand far outweighs supply.
It's hard to compete with snowbirds, who usually make it down to South Florida from now until April.
She has to get creative.
"Use the tax records. Sometimes use Facebook to try and find homeowners who have an additional home that they would be willing to rent out."
Megan knows there is a benefit and she is willing to help out.
"Short amount of time and it's a large amount of capital."
Lucas says now is the best time to list whether your renting or selling.
