PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A new tropical depression heading for the Bahamas is raising anxieties among many already battered by Hurricane Dorian.
“I’m trying to get back and secure and get back out,” says Tanya Fox, whose home was damaged by flooding in Freeport.
Fox is hoping to get back to the Bahamas this weekend and try to protect her house.
“Now that the storm is coming back, I’m worried about the roof part of it,” Fox says.
Since Dorian hit, Fox and two of her children have been staying with family in Royal Palm Beach.
If she can get back to Freeport, Fox says she’ll also be checking up on family still there.
“All we can do is pray and hope for the best,” Fox says.
