Authorities say a motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a car in Wellington Sunday morning.
The motorcycle rider was heading south on South Shore Boulevard when it veered into the path of a Nissan Altima which was also heading south, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
The collision caused the motorcyclist to impact the car's windshield before being ejected to the ground, a traffic report states. The Altima left the road and struck a stop sign and pole.
The motorcycle rider, identified as 58-year-old David Alberts of Wellington, died later that afternoon, PBSO said. The driver of the car was not seriously injured.
