WELLINGTON, Fla. -- A possible electrical fire was investigated outside Polo Park Middle School in Wellington Wednesday.
According to Julie Houston Trieste, the Public Information Officer for the Palm Beach County School District, reports of a possible fire in the air conditioning chiller room of the school prompted calls to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
Crews responded at 3:50 p.m. and discovered a strong smell of burnt rubber from a machine belt, but found there was no actual fire.
There were no injuries and Fire Rescue crews turned the incident over to the school's maintenance department.
