Wellington Regional Medical Center welcomes their first baby of 2019

WELLINGTON, Fla. — Wellington Regional Medical Center was excited early Tuesday morning to announce the delivery of their first baby of 2019!

According to a news release from the hospital, a little girl named Cara Amina Seegobin came into the world at 3:52 a.m.

Cara weighs 5 pounds and 5 ounces.

Her parents, Diveka and Ranjeev Seegobin, told WPTV she arrived nine days early.

Diveka said she started having contractions around 1 a.m. and knew it was time to head to the hospital. Her parents have some special wishes for their New Year's baby.

"Healthy, stay blessed." said Diveka "She definitely made an entrance."

"Just to be happy," said Ranjeev. "To be happy and healthy."

In pictures provided by the hospital, mom and dad were all smiles with their newborn and delivery nurse.

The couple also has a two-year-old son.

Wellington Regional Medical Center said that as of 10:30 a.m., five babies were born at the hospital in the New Year.
