Thursday the Wellington community is coming together for a conversation about alcohol and ways to prevent drunk driving.
The village will host a roundtable discussion at Village Hall at 4 p.m. Village leaders, law enforcement, business owners and others are expected to be there.
The issue of underage drinking and driving while under the influence came to the forefront after a tragic crash in November that killed two young equestrians.
While the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office report did not mention alcohol as a factor in that crash, the department launchedOperation Wild Stallionsoon after to increase their presence and patrol in the area.
They are also focusing on potential alcohol sales to minors.
