Thursday the Wellington community is coming together for a conversation about alcohol and ways to prevent drunk driving.
The village will host a roundtable discussion at Village Hall at 4 p.m. Village leaders, law enforcement, business owners and others are expected to be there.
The issue of underage drinking and driving while under the influence came to the forefront after a tragic crash in November that killed two young equestrians.
While the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office report did not mention alcohol as a factor in that crash, the department launched Operation Wild Stallion soon after to increase their presence and patrol in the area.
They are also focusing on potential alcohol sales to minors.
