1 dead, 1 injured in West Palm Beach shooting

An early-morning shooting left one man dead and another injured in West Palm Beach.

Shortly after 3 a.m., there was a verbal dispute between two men inside of Runway69 Cabaret at 736 Belvedere Rd. Club security and management told police the two men exited and there was no fight in the club.

Several minutes later, officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Lake Ave.

A man working at a bakery nearby says he heard at least six shots.

Police say the first victim, identified as 39-year-old Ivan Najera, was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Another unidentified victim was taken to Delray Medical Center in stable condition.
