A man threatening to jump from the Palm Beach Lakes I-95 overpass is in custody.
West Palm Beach police say hostage negotiation officers managed to persuade the man not to jump.
He will be taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.
Police say he is safe and they have reopened traffic. However there are heavy delays northbound on the interstate.
Traffic had been shut northbound at Okeechobee Boulevard. East and westbound traffic on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard was also closed for a time.
