Local officials, community leaders and families took part Sunday in the Palm Beach Autism Speaks Walk.
The two-mile walk served as a fundraiser to enhance the lives of people living with autism.
NewsChannel 5 anchor Michael Williams emceed the event.
Allan Young, the Chairman of South Florida Ford, made a special check presentation to Autism Speaks.
"It means a lot to all these people. It's the effort and the attitude and the smiles that makes me smile, so hopefully my fellow Ford dealers and myself can continue to make a difference, continue to raise advocacy for Austim Speaks, continue to raise funding, but a lot of it is awareness that doesn't have to be money,” said Young.
Students from the Palm Beach School of Autism, Rock Point Academy and other community organizations performed.
