The day after Christmas was one of the busiest days at stores and malls. Here in Palm Beach County, crowds turned out for the chance to save big.

Soaking rains Saturday couldn't keep the crowds away from the Palm Beach Outlets.
"Today is the best day because it's a horrible day for the beach, so we may as well be shopping," said Mindy Wolk, a seasonal resident from New Jersey.
Shopping the day after Christmas is a ritual for Wolk.
"Even things that are normally not on sale are on sale today," said Wolk. "I bought perfume, I bought handbags."
Scoring those goods at great prices was the game. We saw discounts of 20, 50, 75 even 80 percent off.
"I just waited until now to come out for the sales too," said Karen Sitarik, of North Palm Beach. She planned to buy Christmas gifts for her teenage daughter.
"I figured it's too crowded to shop before Christmas," said Sitarik. "Everything is real crowded but looks like today is just as crowded."
The crowds irritated some shoppers. Grainne Kelly stuck it out. She scored a new tote to show for it.
"I'm getting my stuff for going back to school to college," said Kelly.
Retail experts say after Christmas clothing and designer items are marked down the most. That's when stores make room for new inventory.
"That's the best bargain all year round and I'm a good shopper," said Wolk.
Retail experts say if you're eyeing electronics and toys, the best discounts are usually around Thanksgiving.
On Sunday, the Palm Beach Outlets will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
