A new outdoor mural was unveiled in West Palm Beach Saturday. It was commissioned by Brightline, a high-speed rail connecting people from Miami to Orlando.

The company says the mural was put in place to celebrate ‘Art Palm Beach’.

"The vitality of a city is really shown by what's happening in the art community,” Nicole Henry, art curator said. “Art brings lots of people into this city to eat at the restaurants and shop at all the local shops and it also inspires creativity."

The artist, Smog One says he spent hours working on it and says it’s a great addition to downtown's cultural community. "Miami and Ft. Lauderdale all have art and now West Palm Beach has some of the best murals anywhere."

The mural faces Clematis Street and is at the construction site for Brightline's West Palm Beach station. They anticipate it will open in 2017.
