ACREAGE, Fla. —Family and friends gathered Saturday afternoon to remember a teen killed in a car accident.
Saturday marked one year since 18-year-old Brittany Baxter was struck and killed by another car at Tangerine Blvd. and 120th Ave.
Relatives released 18 butterflies, each one representing a year Brittney was alive.
“I miss her laugh and personality, seeing her smile and joke around,” said Travonta Sampson, friend of Baxter.
The family announced the current memorial, located where the crash happened, will be turned into a butterfly garden.
“Brittany always wanted things in their right spot, that’s why we want to make this more presentable,” said Baxter’s father.
