UPDATE: Officials say the patient was found safe and was transported back to the hospital.
EARLIER STORY:
The Palm Beach Police Department is searching for a violent patient they say escaped from the West Palm Beach Hospital.
According to officials, 27-year-old Christopher Lamar Tipton escaped from the pavilion of the hospital, located at 2201 45th Street in West Palm Beach.
Tipton is described as 5 foot 11 inches tall, weighting 200 pounds with muscular build and tattoos on both arms, from the shoulders down to his elbows.
He was last seen wearing no shirt, with a white shirt wrapped around his head, grey shorts with a colored strip, blue/green plaid boxers and black sneakers.
He is known to frequent West Palm Beach and Riviera Beach.
Police advise the public not to approach Tipton and call 911 with any information about his whereabouts.
The patient was recovered and is safe. He was transported back to the hospital. Thank you!
