WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A crash involving a West Palm Beach police officer and another vehicle has seriously injured two children.
Police say an officer was traveling northbound on Broadway Avenue to a call at West Palm Hospital at 8:45 p.m. when a woman pulled out in front of the officer, causing the crash.
According to police, the officer's marked police car had the lights and siren activated.
The crash happened at 42nd Street and Broadway Avenue.
The female driver and the officer were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Inside the car were two unrestrained children. Both children were transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
Broadway Avenue is closed for the traffic investigation.
