WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.-- The driver of a deadly hit and run that killed the son of a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputy pleaded guilty in court Tuesday morning.
Jacob Gordon will serve 10 years in prison.
He was charged with DUI manslaughter and leaving the scene of a deadly crash.
24-year-old Jason Laux died after he wasrear-ended by Gordonwhile driving in Loxahatchee in August of 2017.
After the crash, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said Gordon ran from the crash. He was found a few blocks away hiding under someone's car.
Gordon's license was also suspended for life.
