PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — 19-year-old Farrah Fox arrived home to Delray Beach Friday afternoon after months in a rehab facility in Orlando. The Palm Beach County teen has been undergoing intensive treatment after being hit in a car accident by an off duty PBSO deputy in July 2018.

“Farrah is looking forward to being worked hard at Pine Crest she’s incredibly driven to walk on her own,” said father Ira Fox.

Her family says she still has a long road ahead of her to a full recovery. Farrah will be doing outpatient rehab for the next several months in South Florida. Her younger sister, Madison, says she is looking forward to the day the two can ride bikes together to the beach. Until that day comes, she is now helping her sister relearn daily tasks like brushing her teeth.

“A doctor came in and saw us and sat down with my mom, my dad and I and he was very blunt he said I’m just going to put it straight to you guys I’ve seen things like these break families apart and my dad, of course, being the jokester that he is said don’t worry boss we are already divorced and in my opinion we were on opposite sides of the state struggling to be a family I think it’s brought us closer together," said Madison Fox.

The family says medical bills have exceeded more than 2 million dollars. The family says they have a GoFundMe to help with the costs.
