People in the Carolinas are buying much needed supplies in anticipation of Hurricane Florence.
As they prepare, local first responders say they're ready if and when their help is needed after the storm.
West Palm Beach Fire Rescue says it deployed a first responder Monday night.
Assistant Fire Chief Brent Bloomfield, "So he's part of a task force team that they do a multitude of things. They do urban search and rescue which means if there are houses, buildings that collapse they go and do the search and rescue."
Just last year Bloomfield said Fire Rescue helped people in the Keys after hurricane Irma. "We sent a team. Boca, Delray, Palm Beach County. We all sent people down there and we all sent our equipment down there with them."
The department will know in a couple of days if more people need to be deployed.
