PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Power & Light crews returned home from California on Thursday just in time for Christmas.
More than 100 line workers were in Paradise, California, to help rebuild the energy grid following the devastating Camp Fire.
This is the fourth time this year FPL has assisted in rebuilding communities across the country. They were also deployed to the Carolinas, Georgia and the Florida Panhandle to assist after the hurricanes.
"It speaks volumes of the character of the men and women we have at FPL. They're willing whenever needed to drop what they are doing and go help others," said Eric Silagy with FPL.
The company says it is honored to return the favor and help the energy companies that have assisted in Florida after major storms.
