WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A former teacher in West Palm Beach pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of simple battery.
Dennis Hall was charged last year after a student accused Hall of punching him at Bear Lakes Middle School in West Palm Beach.
During a plea hearing Monday, Hall was sentenced to 20 days in jail and one-year probation.
He has since resigned from the Palm Beach County School District.
Hall is not allowed to work with children while on probation.
