Retired NFL player for the New York Giants, Lawrence Taylor, was arrested Friday under suspicion of DUI, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Taylor was driving a Bentley southbound on the Turnpike from Beeline Highway at 5:20 p.m. when he hit a motor home and sideswiped a patrol vehicle when switching lanes.
Officials say the Bentley hit the patrol car's mirror, but there was no significant damage to the vehicle.
A tow truck was called to the scene, but it's unknown if it was for the patrol car or the Bentley.
No injuries have been reported.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Taylor was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail.
According to the arrest report, Taylor performed poorly on the roadside sobriety tests conducted by the trooper.
FHP says Taylor's blood alcohol content was 0.082 and 0.084 nearly 5 hours after being involved in the crash. The legal limit is 0.08.
While at the Palm Beach County Jail, deputies asked Taylor what city or county he was in and he responded "Broward." When deputies asked if he had anything to drink, his reply was, "apparently too much."
