A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday for Keiser University's new residential life center.
The four-story, 51,000 square foot facility will be built alongside the lake between the student life center and Dalby Commons buildings at the campus on North Military Trail.
It will add more than 200 beds, plus a lounge, lobby, laundry, study area, and multi-purpose rooms.
Sodexo USA contributed $10 million to kick-off the multi-year capital campaign.
Construction on the new building is set to begin in July and is expected to be wrapped up before the start of the fall semester in 2020.
