A person with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg created a heavy law enforcement presence outside Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach early Friday morning.

At 4:15 a.m., West Palm Beach police and Palm Beach County deputies were at the scene with crime tape posted outside the hospital.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said the man apparently shot himself in their jurisdiction but did not specify the location of the shooting.

The person was then dropped off at the hospital.

PBSO said they are investigating the incident.
