The countdown is on with Christmas only one week away. The Palm Beach Outlets were busy Sunday with last- minute shoppers all day.
Officials said it’s been one of their busiest shopping weekends yet this year.
Many stores are running special offers to get more shoppers through the doors and it seemed like that strategy was paying off. The parking lot was packed all day with those trying to get some last minute Christmas presents.
“I try do to it in advance, but I think like most people, last minute, the week before, I start scrambling to get whatever I need,” said Aarsh Shaw who was shopping at the Outlets mall.
In true fashion of last-minute shoppers, Shaw said he doesn’t do a whole lot of online shopping because that takes some planning in advance.
On the last Sunday before Christmas, many shoppers are far from having all their presents.
“I have a lot more shopping to do,” said Johnetta, who didn’t give her last name. “I only bought like three gifts, so I have a lot more shopping to do.”
In anticipation of last-minute crowds many malls, including the Palm Beach Outlets, are offering extended hours all week.
