Life for man who killed 2 kids & their mother

Delray Beach Police Sergeant Jason Jabcuga says there is not a day that goes by that he doesn't think about the murder of Felicia Brown and her two young children.

"This is a case no detective ever wants to work. Two children. Innocent children with no way to defend themselves," Sgt. Jabcuga said.

Clem Beauchamp pleaded guilty to the three murders on Friday. He accepted three life sentences.

The alternative was a trial that could have led to the death penalty. But it could have also been a long, drawn-out process full of appeals and delays.

"I'm satisfied with the resolution. This case was very personal to me because I have two daughters that were similar age. And it was a very long case. An emotional roller coaster up and down," Sgt. Jabcuga said.

Investigators say Beauchamp killed his girlfriend and also her two young children...six and ten-years-old.

The children were found inside a suitcase in a canal near Delray Beach.

"Those small caskets I can never forget," the victim's brother Yves Gissome said.

Gissome and his family are not happy. They say they wanted a trial, not a plea deal.

"We have to say, 'hey you are not just going to start murdering kids and all we are going to do is take a plea deal and everything is fine?' It is not supposed to be that way. Justice is justice," Gissome said.

He says his family has yet to receive a true apology from Beauchamp.

"He wouldn't even make eye contact," Gissome said.

Gissome says his sister had another daughter who survived because she was staying with her dad.

Helping her through the ordeal is now the family's top priority.

"She is totally aware of what is going on and she needs support," he said.
