West Palm Beach police say a suspect is in custody for a sexual battery on a 4-year-old that happened about 25 years ago.
Police say 74-year-old John Joseph Sheehan thought the statute of limitations had expired when he confessed to the sexual battery.
The crime happened at 624 Datura St. #4 between March 25, 1990 and March 24, 1991, according to police.
Sheehan is facing a charge of sexual battery of a victim under 12.
