A man was killed and another is in serious condition after a three-vehicle crash in West Palm Beach early Saturday morning.

The accident happened shortly after 4 a.m. on Okeechobee Boulevard at the intersection of N. Military Trail.

Officials say a 2001 Toyota sedan was traveling eastbound on Okeechobee Boulevard when it was rear-ended by a 2016 Sierra pickup truck at the intersection. The impact caused the vehicles to cross the median and entering the westbound lanes, causing the Toyota to crash with a third vehicle traveling westbound on Okeechobee Boulevard.

Victor Cuxun-Bolvito, 38, a passenger in the Toyota, was killed in the crash. The Toyota driver, 41-year-old Edgar Vasquez Boulvito, was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the pickup, 20-year-old Ajinkya Kelkar was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of the crash. Kelkar was not wearing a seatbelt.
