UPDATE:
Mary Elizabeth Smith was found safe Friday by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in Belle Glade, according to West Palm Beach police.

West Palm Beach police said Thursday a 17-year-old girl is missing.
Police say Mary Elizabeth Smith was being admitted to West Palm Hospital on 45th Street for a mental evaluation. Upon arrival, Smith jumped out of the vehicle and ran towards the Burger King restaurant on 45th Street.
She was last seen entering a red Kia sedan which left in an unknown direction.
Police said Smith suffers from mental illness and has been off her medication for more than two months.
She is possibly headed toward Clewiston, Fla.

She has red or auburn hair, hazel eyes, standing 5 feet 6 inches and weighing about 140 pounds.
