Third person arrested after man dumped in pond

Posted

Three people, including the daughter of a Palm Beach County sheriff's deputy, are facing charges in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a pond Sept. 4.

Michael Cadet, 17, and his girlfriend Kaitlyn Tucciarone, 18, were arrested Friday in the death of Michael Sears.

Sears was reported missing on Aug. 28.  His body was found in a pond west of Fair Green Road in suburban West Palm Beach earlier this month.

An autopsy was performed and Sears' death was later ruled a homicide.

Cadet's older brother, William Booth, 22, of suburban Lake Worth, was arrested Saturday in the case.

Tucciarone, the daughter of a PBSO deputy, was put on house arrest after a hearing Friday.

Police said Cadet killed Sears because he owed him $10 for marijuana.

Cadet is a minor and being held until prosecutors decide if they will charge him as an adult.

Investigators said Cadet shot and killed Sears.   Booth then dumped the body in a pond, said the sheriff's office. PBSO said text messages tied the trio to the homicide.
