WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- For the past 8 years Chasin A Dream has helped kids throughout Palm Beach County battling life threatening injuries. This holiday season they are hoping the community will get involved by donating unwrapped, new toys to give the kids and their siblings.

“When you see joy through the eyes of a child it’s a completely different experience,” said foundation board member Vivien McLean-Bunce.

The nonprofit has gotten the okay from more than 70 businesses in Martin County and throughout Palm Beach County to place decorated, hand painted boxes in their stores for the community to place their gifts in.

“Honestly whatever it is that makes you smile that you think a child would like to have we are extremely grateful for,” said Vivien McLean-Bunce.

Throughout the year, the organization works with the family to provide assistance any way they can from basic necessities to granting surprise wishes with a goal to make each painful day a bit easier.

“For me personally that’s how I got involved was when a friend of my son’s got sick and when it hit that close to home I felt like I couldn’t not participate and It helps, every little bit helps and tis the season to help,” said Alex Cotleur.

Jupiter Pointe Marina in Tequesta will be hosting a Mingle with Cringle fundraiser on December 14th with proceeds benefiting Chasin A Dream.
