WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — With unemployment concerns growing by the day, the need for basic items like food is greater than ever.
On Thursday, Palm Beach Harvest Food Bank hosted a drive-through food distribution event at Rosemary Square in West Palm Beach.
Each vehicle got four meals, and a total of 600 meals were given out.
"Everything is so different because people can’t buy food, people are out of jobs. So everything is so escalated," said Deborah Morgan, the executive director of the food bank.
The Palm Beach Harvest Food Bank plans on distributing food again at Rosemary Square from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 22 and April 29.
On Monday, April 20, 1,000 meals will be given out at the Wells Recreation Center in Riviera Beach.
