WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Palm Beach County students were able to get their hands on free prom dresses on Saturday, thanks to a few special women who organized a giveaway.
In addition to the dresses, girls could also pick up shoes, perfume and jewelry for their big day.
All they needed to bring was a student I.D card.
Organizer Linda Walsh said, "We're hoping they get a lot of smiles because we have every size no one goes away empty here. We have dresses, evening bags, some jewelry and that they have a memorable experience like the rest of us have for their prom and they can carry that through on through later life."
The giveaway was organized without the School District's help.
