Remember about school buses before getting on the road Monday

For the first time in two months, school buses will hit the road to get kids back to school.

Traffic Anchor Hollani Davis has three things you need to remember about school buses before you get on the road Monday.

You will want to give yourself some extra time to drive to work on Monday because school buses will be back on the roads.

Do you know when you have to stop for a school bus?

Greenbrier Boulevard in Wellington is a two-lane road. If a bus is stopped with red lights flashing and "stop" arm is extended, you must stop.

If you are in South Palm Beach County, a similar road would be Boca Del Mar in Boca Raton.

What do you do on a road like Prosperity Farms in Palm Beach Gardens, where there is a turn lane in the middle of the street?

Vehicles in both directions must stop for a school bus.

In Boynton Beach, a comparison would be Lawrence Road.

Lake Worth Road in Greenacres is a stretch where you don't have to stop if you are driving in the opposite direction of the bus. That's because there is a median or barrier there.

The rules are the same for Port St. Lucie Boulevard in St. Lucie County.

But if you are driving in the opposite direction, you are asked to be careful.

If you are caught breaking any of these rules, you could face a $165 fine.
